Stakeholders: University of South Wales, Mental Health Matters
I spent 10 weeks creating and facilitating 20 workshops, with the service users of a local charity, based in Bridgend, to promote wellbeing. Our theme was CRAFT-A-THON, as the participants enjoyed crafting and wanted to learn new skills. Part of the brief was to work closely with ‘The Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act, 2015’. This was realised through the use of resources; by including nature into the workshops to promote wellbeing; and embracing Wales and its culture.
We looked at activities such as marbling, zines, stamp making, printing, needle felting, cross stitch, and decoupage, using a great deal of techniques and materials to inspire the participants.
